Research groups will meet in Santa Barbara, California and will conduct studies exploring climate change, fisheries, and ecological impact of management actions. In addition to funding to support travel, lodging, and per diem expenses, participating teams will benefit from facilities, training expertise, and cyberinfrastructure and logistical support.

Cooperative Agreement for a USA or Canada state and local government, IHE, nonprofit organization, or tribe in eligible areas to create a water quality monitoring system. The special focus of the monitoring will be toxic pollutants. Awardees will be expected to analyze the concentrations of contaminants in order to advance the understanding of contaminant cycling throughout food webs in the Great Lakes, and screen for emerging chemicals in fish tissue to identify priority chemicals warranting future study. Project must take place in states bordering the Great Lakes.

Cooperative Agreement for a USA or Canada agency, IHE, Tribe, or nonprofit organization to monitor and report on coastal wetlands in eligible areas. This project is part of a surveillance network to monitor water quality, and applicants must be capable of carrying out field sampling of coastal wetlands. This program is intended for the areas surrounding the Great Lakes, including the following: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Ontario (Canada), Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Award of $500 to a USA or Canada high school astronomy teacher or educator to recognize exceptional contributions to astronomy education. Candidates for this award demonstrate outstanding teaching and commitment to planetarium- or classroom-based education, including the training of other educators.

Grant of $500 to a USA, Canada, or International teacher, counselor, or educator who instructs high school students to cover the costs associated with attending an educational conference. Applicants must register as an educator prior to applying. Funding may be used to support registration, accommodations, and travel expenses.

Grants of $2,500 to USA, Canada, and International high school teachers and counselors for financial assistance in attending professional development courses. Applicants are required to complete registrations prior to applying. Eligible applicants are located in Canmore, Chestermere, Edmonton, Kananaskis, Strathmore, Alberta; French Creek, British Columbia; Aylmer, Collingwood, Kincardine, Ontario; and Regina, Saskatchewan.

Grants of up to $7,000 to Canada registered charitable organizations for projects to relieve poverty in multiple locations. Funding is intended to support economic equity and social justice projects in the regions. Priority is given to projects that emphasize sustainable development. Eligible applicants must carry out community-based programs for poverty reduction in Latin America and Atlantic Canada.

Grants of up to $15,000 to USA, Canada, and International institutions and individuals for research and conservation projects related to wild cat species. Priority will be given to projects with a strong emphasis on conservation. Eligible proposals are those related to small cats species, namely all species of the family Felidae excluding the genera Panthera, Acinonyx, and the puma (Puma concolor).

Grants to Ontario property owners for the conservation, repair, and restoration of culturally significant properties in eligible regions. Funding is available for a broad range of activities, including roof and siding repairs, porch restoration, and exterior painting. Eligible projects are those located in the City of Mississauga.

Fellowships to USA, Canada, and Greece graduate students to conduct research and fieldwork at an institution in Greece. The purpose of the program is to support the work of overseas students conducting studies in ancient Greek law or Greek students conducting work on local excavations. Fellowships will take place at the American School for Classical Studies at Athens or at excavations affiliated with the institution.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International individuals for political research at the funding source's facility in Michigan. Funding is intended to offset the cost of travel within North America and living expenses while conducting research. Eligible research addresses topics related to US foreign policy, national and domestic politics, and federal policies.

Fellowships with a $5,000 stipend to USA, Canada, or international PhD or graduate students for research on aspects of Greek history. Funding is intended for the study of the Athenian Agora, and the stipend is structured to cover lodging, visas, board, travel, and other incidental costs. Fellowships with stipends of $10,000 to USA, Canada, and International doctoral students enrolled at universities to pursue studies related to political economy. In addition to the stipend, the program will arrange lodging, airfare, and meals for fellows. Graduate students from any discipline may participate.

The purpose of the program is to support students who have a teaching or research interest in the subject. In addition to the stipend, fellows will have travel, accommodation, and meals covered by the program.

Opportunity for USA, Canada, and International doctoral students from any discipline to participate in a fellowship to explore themes related to political economy, including morality, markets, sociality, and culture. In addition to the $7,000 stipend, the fellowship includes travel and lodging to attend colloquia hosted by the Mercatus Center.

Grants of up to $10,000 to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations to improve the lives of people with Down syndrome. Funding is intended to support workshops, webinars, conferences, and programs. Audiences for these programs and activities can be individuals with Down syndrome, medical professionals, and family members. Applicants must be members of the Global Down Syndrome Foundation.

Grants of $250 and grants of $500 to USA and Canada young people for youth-led volunteer projects that address community needs. Funding is intended to support projects carried out by children and youth between the ages of 5 and 25 that provide opportunities for young volunteers from different social backgrounds to create meaningful connections with their peers, caring adults, and community partners, while developing social awareness and relationship skills. Projects must take place during Global Youth Service Day or Youth Service Month in the spring of 2025. $250 grantees will be required to engage at least 25 other youth as volunteers while $500 grantees have a 50-youth volunteer minimum requirement.

Funding is available for expenses related to food production, processing, and preparation; refrigeration and storage; transportation for distribution; and other costs. The activities proposed by the applicant must benefit residents within the catchment areas of the partnering United Ways in East Ontario: Simcoe-Muskoka; Northumberland; Elgin Middlesex; Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry; and Windsor-Essex-Chatham-Kent.

Grants to Ontario professional artists, nonprofit arts organizations, collectives, groups, and other organizations to create, produce, and present multidisciplinary works of art, arts activities, and events. Funding may also be used to support professional development activities that promote multidisciplinary art. Eligible works of art are those that involve two or more of the following art forms: dance, theater, music, visual and media arts, and literature.

Grants of $40,000 per year to Canada Indigenous doctoral students to pursue studies in brain and heart research. Funding is intended for collaborative work that addresses gaps in care, has an immediate impact, and benefits community clinical practices.

Funding is intended to support non-interventional studies that further knowledge of non-small cell lung cancer. Eligible projects will shed light on integrin beta-6 (IB6) patterns of expression and clinical outcomes in NSCLC; or on sigvotatug vedotin’s (SV) preclinical activity in relevant tumor models.

Reimbursements to Ontario municipalities for the provision of emergency services in eligible areas. Funding is intended for projects and activities related to fire protection, rescue operations, and public hazard assistance in the province's unincorporated areas. Reimbursement rates will be based on the service rates used by the Ministry of Transportation for fire departments' responses on provincial highways.

Funding is intended for the production, presentation, and development of live and virtual dance by professional artists who are Ontario residents.

Funding is intended to support research projects that are international, collaborative, interdisciplinary, and cutting-edge. The Program attaches the highest importance to novelty, scientific merit, internationality, and interdisciplinarity.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International early-career psychologists and graduate students affiliated with eligible institutions for research studies related to psychological testing. Funding is intended to support projects that explore the professional and ethical use of tests, including issues such as confidentiality, privacy, quality of tests, and test construction.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations, IHEs, government agencies, and for-profit organizations for research projects related to Parkinson's disease. Funding is intended for pre-clinical and clinical programs that impede or prevent the progression of the disease.

Grants of up to $10,000 to Ontario individual artists and nonprofit organizations for projects that benefit residents in eligible locations. Funding is intended for activities within the focus areas of arts and culture, youth, and community development. Grants may be used to support one-time special activities, training and development programs, and seed funding for new organizations. Organizations must be located in Thunder Bay.

Eligible organizations are aligned with one of the following areas of interest: local community, water, and food. Funding is intended to address issues including hunger, agricultural education and development, habitat conservation, nutrient stewardship, watershed restoration, and sustainable communities.

Grants and in-kind support of camera equipment to USA, Canada, and International Black women photographers to support the advancement of their careers. Funding is available to offset the cost of business expenses and to facilitate the execution of a visual project. The equipment is intended to help photographers take their creativity to the next level.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International investigators and for-profit investigator entities for research to improve the lives of children with Sanfilippo syndromes. Funding is intended to improve understanding, diagnosis, treatment, and therapies for these syndromes. Two funding streams are available: pilot awards and advance awards.

Award of up to $5,000 to a USA, Canada, or International undergraduate activist in recognition of exceptional activities that promote the preservation of freshwater and marine resources. Eligible nominees have championed their cause and garnered peer support throughout the school year. In addition to the monetary prize, the winner will also receive mentorship from MCN and be partners for the academic year.
