Financial support is given to needy individuals who live in the Maine towns of Camden, Hope, Lincolnville and Rockport. This support is used for groceries, real estate taxes, heating and medical costs. The maximum support given per individual is $2,500. This cap can be exceeded in extraordinary circumstances. There are approximately 120 annual recipients.Financial support is also given to area nonprofit organizations that support the mission of Camden Area Senior Assistance by providing food, medical care and other assistance to the individuals served by our organization. Donations were $35,500 in the current fiscal year to those nonprofit organizations.
